A great vintage. Good rains during last winter ensured a full soil moisture profile. Consistent weather until late Summer also helped the vines gain strength to settle for a couple of hot spells just before ripening which was marked by ideal dry conditions.
IN NOSE Vibrant and fresh red and black cherries and cranberries to the fore. Supporting notes of butterscotch, dusty clove and fresh cedar.
IN MOUTH Red and black cherries, red currants, dark chocolate, white pepper and clove. Very smooth with well-rounded and fine tannins, cut through with a vibrancy and freshness driven by its natural acidity. Great length.
